We have such a huge playlist already this season, plus a record number of new entrants! That’s something to celebrate!

Also worth celebrating is part 3 of the Poseidon trilogy by VanityMovies. I’m not celebrating because it’s ending, but because I’m super excited to see it.

Tell me that doesn’t look intense!

I loved the first two parts of this trilogy. The scenes, fluid movements, voice acting, story line, effects, everything just blew me out of the water (pardon the pun). And, of course, I love ancient Greek mythology. It’s sad that this will be the end of the film, but I guess all good things must come to an end sometime.

The trailer alone makes this film look like a real-life thing, and that’s super incredible. I can’t wait!

Aww, so sweet. 😀 I ship them!

But Poseidon isn’t the only thing this talented director is bringing to us this season. Nope, we’re also going to see another multi-part film debut this fall with part 1 of Sleeping Beauty. I love fairy tales, and this was one of my fave Disney ones as a kid. I look forward to seeing Vanity’s take on this classic story!

The teaser trailer, plus the photo promoting it, state that this version of the story is based off Disney’s tale. That’s okay with me, since I haven’t read the “real” story. 😀 It’ll be awesome to see such a great tale come to life in The Sims 3!

And wow, check out the handsome Phillip! Sorry, Disney, but I think Vanity beat you in the contest of sweetest man candy.

Who wouldn’t want to be put under a sleeping spell and kissed awake by that hunky prince? 😉

It’s really no wonder that VanityMovies has been part of the Masters machinima category since season 8. Coincidentally, for a different Sleeping Beauty story, a much darker one and no voice-over.

Vanity has really come a long way! I applaud her creativity and look forward to what she has in store for us this season – with TWO entries!

Everyone, grab your popcorn and tighten your seat belts! We’re going to be in for one heck of a ride this season!

I've played The Sims since the very first game. It's quickly become one of my two favorite games of all time. The Sims 3 is my favorite, though The Sims 4 is slowly growing on me. I love SIFF, and have made many friends by partaking in it.

The Sims International Film Festival was created in 2010 as a way to foster creativity in The Sims community through machinima, an art form that uses video game footage to make movies. Over the years, as new entries in The Sims franchise were released and new editing methods became available, we’ve seen a lot of changes, but one thing has remained constant: our commitment to showcasing the creativity of this community and inspiring new artists.
