Zombie Creek made its debut at the Fall 2015 Sims International Film Festival and is being promoted as a B-Machinima. It pays homage to B-movies (especially the classics) and is partly inspired by Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Willow Creek was once a major vacation destination until a zombie epidemic caused by an alien experiment gone awry changed everything. Tourism was closed down, the military took over and a group of doctors and scientists emerged in a quest to find a cure for zombism. If a cure can’t be found, they need to find a quick end to the zombies or risk the island being turned into a nuclear wasteland.

The Sims Community was asked to provide zombie extras to the project resulting in 24 different sims from a number of people.

The Sims International Film Festival was created in 2010 as a way to foster creativity in The Sims community through machinima, an art form that uses video game footage to make movies. Over the years, as new entries in The Sims franchise were released and new editing methods became available, we’ve seen a lot of changes, but one thing has remained constant: our commitment to showcasing the creativity of this community and inspiring new artists.
