Site Issues That Have Been Addressed

If anyone notices any other problems that need attention please don’t hesitate to let us know. Thanks.

1. The site has been assigned a SSL certificate. If you aren’t seeing the HTTPS version of the site clear your cache. You might have to tell your browser to accept cookies from the site now. Our tech support guy at WebHostFace was awesome in helping us get this resolved. He also thinks that having a machinima festival is a really cool idea.

2. Captcha has been removed. There is a configuration issue that wasn’t allowing people to use the forms that we need to resolve before it goes back up.

Leaving Comments

We want people to leave comments on posts on the site, however, there are a couple things that you need to know first. You don’t have to be logged into the site to comment, so it is not necessary to create an account just to participate on the site. You will still need one if you plan on entering the festival.

The first time that you leave a comment on the site it will be held until someone approves it. This is to prevent spam from appearing on the site. We attempted to have a forum on the site a few years back. Someone hacked it and it was overrun with porn bots. We still have a problem a few of them trying to leave comments on posts. Once you have had your first comment approved, all other comments will automatically show up.
