I think the strangest thing I’ve ever had happen in my sims game, was back in Sims 3. I had just made a legacy character, like the first day. I met and found the perfect man for her, and while they were talking in the park, a meteorite hit them and killed them. Shortest legacy challenge ever haha!

The strangest thing.. when I first bought the game back in 2014, the first house I built had a fireplace. I decided to turn on autonomy, and the first thing my Sim did was instantly go to light a fire in the fireplace. But before he even got there, he got the burning emotion and the post in the corner told me he was dying!! He β€œdied” before he even lit on fire!! Talk about predetermination.. πŸ˜¬πŸ˜¬πŸ˜‚

Many moons ago, when I was playing the original Sims, the Grim Reaper was cruising down the sidewalk towards my house while my Sims were at work. I paused and looked for everything I could think of – was there a townie that was dying on my lot for some strange reason?, was a pet dying?, were my fish dying? (that can’t be it – fish are objects).
I let it play again and he went up to my front door, rang the doorbell and TOOK OFF! Grimmy plays Ding-Dong-Ditch in the original series!

The strangest thing that happened to me was when my sim went out for breakfast and her parents happened to be dining there as well, then her father promptly died in the middle of the restaurant… which somehow crashed the game.

It was strange when I was playing my sim and she met her clone who the game had spawned as a npc. It even had the same name, dressed identically everything was exactly the same. Kind of freaky.

Well, my sim has died while eating a cake. I don’t remember the cause of death, laughing or something, but she did not drop the cake while dying, she was death in the floor while the Reaper make him notes and the cake was there, at her hands in the floor, dont know if it’s a glitch or something, but my profile picture in the official forum is this particular scene.

Hmmm, the strangest thing? I think when Dina Caliente gave birth to Mortimer’s daughter (in sims 2) (before Mortimer found Bella and they got back together leaving Dina all alone :() and the baby’s head was ~sideways~ and Dina’s arms were all bent weird haha! I took a screenshot of it because of how funny it looked! Thanks for doing the giveaway! The new pack looks so fun (I love story-based gameplay!!!) and I need some more strangeness in sims 4! πŸ˜€

My strangest moment is that my sim is constantly abducted by alien, as well as his son, not really strange considering it’s a game feature but why them though.

In sims 2 my teen sim was visiting a community and he invited his best friend Rick Cormier to join him. I then noticed another sim that looked and dressed exactly the same way as Ricky on the lot and found out that sim was also Ricky Cormier. For some reason my game had generated 2 versions of him on the community lot, probably because I called him on the phone at the same time as he was appearing on the lot.

The strangest thing happened when I had some eye slider in my game. New townies were spawned with eyes floating above their heads(and their eye sockets were empty. It looked really creepy.) It messed up genetics in CAS and probably in game too.

I spent hours perfecting a character for a game, I was getting the looks just right, the backstory spot on, everything was starting to come together very nice. This was one of the first characters I did after doing the tutorial.

First day, new house in Oasis Spring, expecting the welcome wagon, I let the game play out while I was panning the camera around checking out the immediate area around Oasis Springs (I had always started at Willow Creek). My Sim started to cook something (wanna say grilled cheese), started a fire while I was panned away not paying attention, and died for just standing there in the fire.

All in all, it was about 45 seconds of play time after hours of creation. I thought that was a sign not to spend hours on character creation and to pause when checking out the area. I deleted the character from my gallery because I thought I didn’t need a sim who can’t figure himself out in a fire he started.

Weirdest thing was probably my Sims wedding ceremony. They are both famous so paparazzi and fans showed up at the chapel and proceeded to crowd the altar to fawn over them. Rude but normal. But then all the guest that actually were invited stood outside the chapel and watched the ceremony through a window πŸ˜€ It was so weird, I have tons of pictures of the wedding and they are all kinda comical rather than romantic because of this

At least once the ceremony part was over and they moved to the reception space the guests decided to finally join them and have some cake instead of just hiding in the bushes or something πŸ˜€

Ooh, this is tough when so many strange things have happened! Not counting bugs, I guess it was a time in The Sims 2 when I got a notification that my kids were going to be removed by the social worker for being left home alone, even though I had hired a nanny.

It turned out that she had gone down to the basement, grabbed the cake on my cowplant, and gotten eaten herself. When I went to move her grave outside, there was a second one down there. I’d never noticed that the original nanny had been died and been replaced.

TLDR, my kids got taken away because two nannies committed double suicide by cowplant.

Back in Sims 2 a little while ago, I made a family and spent a lot of time on them and was pretty proud of them. So I started to play the game and literally only a few minutes into game play a fire started and all of my adult sims died and the children remained, the social worker then came and took the kids away. I was devastated haha

A strange thing happened to my sim on my first twitch stream.
I went on vacation with her and her cute dog. Camping in the woods of granite falls in summer. It was lovely except for 5 days of thunderstorm… Well, I made her go fishing and that fishing spot was very far away from her camp ground. Thunderstorm started again and I sent her to her tent, she got hit by lightning. Nothing happened, she just was a dirty and burnt, so running home fast. When she arrived at her camp ground a second lightning hit her and she dropped dead. I cheated a random guy who was walking by into my family, so he plead the Grim and it worked, my Sim came back to life! I deleted the guy I had added to the family and started to grill the fish, because she was hungry. She started to burn almost immediately and this time no one around to add to save her… so she died in vacation. I was in shock and my friend who watched the stream almost died laughing. I think it was fate and the sim had to die πŸ˜€

The strangest thing that ever happened to me was also the most bittersweet. It happened while I was playing with my Legacy family in TS2. The husband of my founder died of old age while in platinum aspiration mode. He got the hula girls, drinks, the plane, etc. His daughter was pregnant at the time.

Later that day, his daughter game birth to twins. Usually in TS2 ghosts don’t appear until around 3 days later, but this Sim’s ghost appeared that night. I heard the music for a ghost and panned around the lot to find him. I found him in the nursery where his twin granddaughters were sleeping in cribs.

As I watched, he went to a crib, leaned over and kissed one of his granddaughters. Then he floated over to the other crib and kissed the other one. He then straightened up and floated for a minute looking back and forth between the two cribs.

With a big sigh, the saddest and most eerie sound I’ve ever heard in The Sims, he finally departed the nursery by floating through the wall. He disappeared and I never saw his ghost again, he never visited again. I will never forget that moment or that Sim. Nothing like that had ever happened previously or since in any iteration.

Thank you for the opportunity to win a copy of Strangerville! Good Luck every and Happy Simming!

For me, it ‘s probably a tie between a horse in TS3 that CONSTANTLY got stuck on the roof. I’d look everywhere for him, and eventually found him chilling on the roof, like it was a totally normal thing for a horse to be up there lol. But I also remember a piece of pizza getting stuck to my Sim’s hand in TS4, so she went through life holding a piece of pizza with everything she did.

    Thanks for hosting this giveaway!

One day, when my two sims had the wedding, the bridegroom was repairing their fridge and suddenly got an electric shock and died. I even got an idea to start the black widow challenge.
